Land Clearing
Brush, cedar and deadfall cleared across Austin and the Texas Hill Country.

What land clearing actually is
Taking a property back to workable ground, without stripping it bare.
Land clearing removes the brush, cedar, undergrowth and deadfall that make a property unusable, and leaves ground you can walk, survey, build on, or put to work. On most Hill Country lots that means underbrush removal, cedar tree removal, and hauling off years of accumulated deadfall in a single scope.
We clear selectively by default. Mature oaks, natural rock features and healthy tree lines stay unless you tell us otherwise. Cedar is the usual target because of what it does to water and fire risk, but not all of it needs to go, and we'll tell you which is which before the machines start.
What you get back isn't a scraped lot. It's a property with its character intact and the problem removed.

When a property needs clearing
If any of these describe your property, brush clearing is where we'd start.
-
Brush so thick you can't see the property line
Years of cedar and undergrowth that make it impossible to walk, survey, or plan around. Cedar tree removal across the Hill Country is most of what we do, and it's usually the first thing that has to happen.
-
You're getting ready to build
Lot clearing comes first, before survey stakes, pad prep, or a foundation crew can do anything useful. Bought raw land in Austin and the plans are drawn? This is step one.
-
Fire risk is building up against the house
Dense juniper and deadfall crowding structures, cleared back to create defensible space. Fire mitigation brush removal is worth doing before the dry months, not during them.
-
You need pasture, fence line, or usable acreage
Opening up land for livestock, fencing, utility runs, or simply getting the use of ground you already own and can't currently reach.
Sounds like something else?
If the ground is already clear but uneven, or the real problem is getting a truck in, you're looking at a different scope. We'd rather send you to the right page than quote you the wrong work.
How we clear a property
The same six steps on every client's property.
-
Walk it and mark it
We walk the property with you and agree on what stays. Mature trees, rock features, tree lines, anything you want left alone.
-
We clear it
Brush, cedar and undergrowth come out, with stumps and root balls grubbed where the plan calls for it. Any timber, rock or mulch worth keeping gets set aside instead of hauled away.
-
We clean it up and hand it over
Everything else gets loaded and hauled off in the same scope. The lot is raked clean and rough leveled, then we walk it with you before the equipment leaves.
What can change the sequence: shallow rock, wet ground, steep slope, or limited access. We'll tell you before we start, not after.

What drives the price
No two properties price out the same. Here's what actually moves the number.
People ask what land clearing costs per acre in Texas. We don't price that way, because a flat cleared acre and a rocky acre thick with cedar aren't the same job.
-
Scope and acreage
How much ground, and how much of it actually comes out.
-
Terrain difficulty
Rock, slope and density all slow the work down.
-
Access to the site
How easily equipment and trucks get on and off.
-
Material volume and disposal
How much leaves the property, and where it goes.
-
Timeline
When you need it, and how the weather cooperates.
-
Estimates are free. For most lots, clear photos and a location are enough for a real number. Complex land, heavy rock and large haul off jobs need a short call or a site visit. We'd rather be right than fast.
What clearing needs next
Most clients pair clearing with at least one of these.
