Concrete Prep & Pier Drilling
Excavation, drilling, and grade work so the concrete crew arrives to a site that is actually ready.
Lago Vista · Austin · statewide across Texas
What concrete prep actually is
Everything that has to happen before the truck arrives.
We provide concrete preparation and pier drilling for projects that need excavation, grading, drilling, layout support, or site readiness before concrete is placed — slabs, ramps, patios, pads, footings, piers, tie-downs, fence posts, deck supports, and utility supports.
We are most useful where the prep involves equipment access, rock, grade changes, drilling, haul-off, or material movement. Concrete placement may be available depending on scope; we also do prep only when another contractor is handling the pour.

When you need concrete prep
If any of these describe your project, this is the scope.
-
The pour is booked and the site is not ready
Grade, access, or excavation work standing between you and the concrete crew.
-
Piers have to go into rock
Drilling depth and production in limestone that a standard auger will not handle easily.
-
Access is tight for concrete equipment
Difficult terrain or restricted approach that needs planning before trucks arrive.
-
You have engineered plans to hit
Specified depths, diameters, and layouts that need following exactly.
Sounds like something else?
If the wider site needs shaping first, that is a grading scope. If it is the whole property that needs readying, start with site prep.
How we prep for concrete
Three phases, plan to handoff.
-
Read the site
Review the scope · Prepare the area
-
Do the work
Drill or form · Manage the spoils
-
Finish and hand it over
Ready it for concrete · Follow the plans
Projects involving heavy rock, unknown subsurface conditions, or exact engineered requirements may need flexible pricing or field adjustments. We flag those before starting.
What drives the price
Hole count, depth, and how hard the rock is.
Drilling is priced on production, and production in limestone is unpredictable until the first holes go down. We are straight about that up front.
-
Excavation needs
How much has to move before drilling starts.
-
Spoil management
Where the drilled and excavated material goes.
-
Quantity, size, and depth
How many holes, how wide, and how deep.
-
Whether we pour
Prep only, or prep plus placement.
-
Rock conditions
What the auger actually meets.
-
Estimates are free. If you have engineered plans, send them — specified depths and diameters let us give a much tighter number.
What concrete prep connects to
Prep work usually sits between two other scopes.
